YOUTH Football Official (Flag and Touch Football)

Job Description, Roles & Responsibilities

GRIDIRON FOOTBALL:

Gridiron Football is reimagining youth sports and enriching the lives of young people in communities across the country. We’re on a mission to bring youth sports into the digital age, bringing a sleek and intuitive experience for parents, players, coaches and administrators rich in data and driven by an obsession with customer experience.

We believe that youth sports, especially team sports, have the power to develop lasting character in young people. All too often, administrators, coaches and parents are bogged down by the mundane tasks of running a league or a team, diverting their attention away from coaching and developing our youth to focus on the mechanics of a successful season. We’re building a high-powered team of athletes, technologists and entrepreneurs to lift the burden of league management away from the ground level so administrators and coaches can put their focus back where it belongs, on the athletes of tomorrow.

About the Job

Are you looking for a great part-time outdoor job in America’s most-loved sport?

Do you live and breathe football?

Then we have a place for you out onthe football field where all the action happens.

Gridiron Football is seeking highly motivated football official candidates who want to be part of the next revolution in youth sports.

With three distinct styles (all flag and touch) we offer players a variety of exciting fast-paced games and lots of earning potential for our football officials.

There is no tackling in our leagues, just face-paced, explosive football fun!

Experience is not an issue. We provide free online and in-person training.

Think you have what it takes to wear the stripes?

The Type of People We Are Looking For:

We have three types of people in mind to officiate our youth football games:

1. The Veteran

You have been around the game for a long time, and you love working for youth football leagues and passing your experience on to newer officials coming up through the ranks.

Ideally, you have at least three years of experience as a high school football official and are keenly aware of the unique rules and safety measures of flag football.

This is a great gig to earn extra cash and get back on the field. You control your time commitment -- it can be a game here and there or have a full “give me what you got” mentality.

2. The Adult Enthusiast

You love the game but have never officiated? No problem. You love the game but have never played? No problem.

We will teach you every step of the way. We love giving community adults the opportunity to get involved on the field. There is a famous saying that “if you love what you do, you will never work again”. Well, if you love football and enjoy the energy that youth sports provides, then you will prove that saying right! But be careful, officiating is addictive. Come be part of our amazing community and provide a positive role model for young people while earning extra money.

3. The Rookie

If you are at least 15 years old, reliable, team-oriented, and willing to learn we have a place for the next generation of football officials, too! You are either in high school or recently left.

Our training can lead to national certification and lots of exciting opportunities to make money.

You will provide a wonderful public service by helping others have a great game-day experience.

If you have a booming voice and aren’t afraid to use it to provide a safe and fun environment for our players – you have a place with Gridiron!
