Average Joe Sports Club Seeks Soccer Referees near Milton, ON

Our Milton Soccer Referees play an important role in the overall success of our leagues, because they are responsible for ensuring that the games run smoothly every night. We are looking for a few dedicated, hard-working, and trustworthy part-time referees to help officiate our Milton Soccer games. Referees will need to have their own set of yellow & red cards as well as a whistle. Uniforms not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate game schedules with the league office
• Gain early access to the venues prior to each shift
• Maintain positive relationships with all venue staff
• Greet members as they arrive and provide excellent customer service
• Referee assigned games to the field you are officiating at.
• In some cases, act as a referee (extra training provided in this case)
• Report back to league office with any pertinent post-shift information
• Check for vaccine passports

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have access to a car, or ability to navigate well on public transport
• Must be dependable and trustworthy
• Experience as a referee/official is preferred, though not necessary
• OSA credentials not required. Experience beneficial but not needed. Training if provided for referees new to Average Joe soccer.
• Experience with customer service is also an asset
• Confidence is key to succeeding in this role, and must also have strong problem solving skills
• Effective conflict resolution and teamwork skills

SHIFT TIMES: Outdoor soccer leagues run weekly on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

START DATE: We are looking for someone who can start May 2022!

Salary: $30/match in our 6v6 league, $35/match in our 11v11 leagues.
