It's good to see the athletics associations look into pay raises for umpires and referees - low pay is a consistent reason why they quit officiating. For high school athletics, it must be harder than other leagues due to their funding sources. 

Hopefully the pay  increase keeps officials on the years and encourages more to try it out.
