MLB is hosting free umpire clinics in Richmond Virginia (June 25) and Denver Colorado (July 30)
"At the Major League Baseball Umpire Camps, you will improve your plate work, improve your positioning for plays on the bases and strengthen your situation management skills. Attendees will also receive conditioning, nutritional, equipment and safety instruction.
If you are looking to umpire professionally, each camp serves as a prospecting clinic! Attendees are able to earn scholarships to professional umpiring schools."
